A career of two decades accumulates names the way a coastline accumulates harbours, and Michelle Ferrari has three. The billing she works under is the one on this page. The alias field adds Cristina Ricci, a name that sounds borrowed from the Italian screens of an earlier decade, and a second form of her own, Michele Ferari, with one l and one r fewer than the original. The trimmed version is less a mistake than a habit of catalogues: a name typed once, indexed, then copied from there. All three lead to the same performer. What matters is that a reader who arrives by any of them finds the same body of work.
The span is the story here. She is listed as active since 2005, which means her career began in the DVD years and continued into the era of the clip. That is a long time in a business that usually burns through performers in three or four seasons. The Italian market she came out of was smaller and more domestic than the American one, built on local production, imported titles and a circuit of clubs and fairs. A performer who lasted through that transition had to be adaptable: the same scene, shot for a disc and then for a phone.
